The hemp and CBD industry is currently flooded with misinformation, pay-to-play reviews, and confusing scientific jargon. We built Weedime to be the exact opposite of that.
This Editorial Policy isn’t just a legal formality; it is our concrete promise to you about how we research, write, and maintain every single article on our site.
1. Our Commitment to Quality (No Fluff, No B.S.)
When you read a Weedime guide or review, you can expect it to be:
Relentlessly Researched: We dig into the third-party lab reports, ingredient lists, and brand histories so you don’t have to.
Clear: We translate complex cannabinoid science and legal jargon into plain, everyday English. If it isn’t practical and easy to understand, we rewrite it.
Constantly Evolving: The cannabis industry moves incredibly fast. When new studies drop, regulations shift, or a brand changes its formula, we actively audit and update our content to ensure you always have the most current information.
2. How We Evaluate Products
We don’t take a brand’s word for it, and we don’t rely on marketing copy. Before any product makes it onto Weedime, it goes through the same process:
- Lab report verification. We check the third-party Certificate of Analysis (COA) for every product we recommend, confirming that potency matches the label and screening for contaminants like heavy metals, pesticides, and residual solvents. If a brand doesn’t publish lab results, it doesn’t make our list.
- Price-per-milligram comparison. A $60 tincture and a $25 tincture aren’t actually comparable unless you look at the price per milligram of active cannabinoid. We run this math across every category so “premium” pricing has to earn its markup.
- Bulk review analysis. We read through customer reviews across multiple platforms — not just the testimonials brands feature on their own sites — looking for consistent patterns in what real buyers report about effects, taste, and value.
- Cross-brand comparison. We evaluate every major brand in a category side by side on the same criteria, rather than reviewing products in isolation.
3. Absolute Editorial Independence
We are an independent publisher. While we use affiliate links to fund our operations, our editorial integrity is not for sale. * Brands cannot pay us for a positive review.
Affiliate partners have no influence over what we publish, how we rate products, or the opinions we share.
If a highly popular product is overpriced or ineffective, we will not include it or say so, regardless of potential commissions. Our loyalty is entirely to our readers’ wellness and wallets.
