Vaporizer

« Back to Glossary Index

A vaporizer is a device used to heat substances, such as cannabis or hemp flowers to a temperature that produces vapor but does not cause combustion. Unlike traditional smoking methods that involve burning the material, vaporizers operate by heating the substance to a point where its active compounds vaporize, releasing them as a mist or vapor for inhalation.

This process produces fewer harmful byproducts compared to smoking, as it avoids the combustion of plant matter and the associated toxins and carcinogens. Vaporizers come in various forms, including portable devices, desktop units, and vape pens.
