Stoned” is a term commonly used to describe the state of being under the influence of the psychoactive effects of THC (tetrahydrocannabinol), the primary compound responsible for the “high”. When someone is “stoned,” they may feel euphoric and relaxed and they may also experience altered sensory perceptions, such as heightened sensitivity to sound and color.

Being “stoned” can manifest differently for each individual and may include feelings of tranquility, introspection, creativity, hunger, sleep, or lethargy, depending on factors such as the potency of THC, the dosage, the method of consumption, and the individual’s tolerance and mindset.

Driving or operating heavy machinery while “stoned” is unsafe and illegal in most places, as THC can impair motor skills and reaction times.
